European Media Literacy Week Visual Identity 01

At this first edition of European Media Literacy Week, which will be held from 18 to 22 March 2019, a variety of events are planned both in Brussels and at local level across the European Union. The aim of the initiative is to raise awareness among the public of the importance of media literacy and to promote existing activities.

Luxembourg stakeholders in the field are taking part by organising a wide range of projects and events throughout the month of March. On the initiative of ALIA, all the partners – including the Agence nationale pour l’information des jeunes, the Service national de la jeunesse, Luxembourg City Film Festival, the Zentrum fir politesch Bildung, the Conseil de presse and the government initiative Digital Lëtzebuerg – presented their projects at a press conference on 27 February 2019.

Details of the activities taking place in Luxembourg can be found on the website of the Agence nationale pour l’information des jeunes.

European Media Literacy Week is a European Commission initiative. It will include a high-level conference in Brussels on 19 March 2019, hosted by the Commissioner for Digital Economy and Society, Mariya Gabriel.
