The Consultative Assembly is currently composed of 24 delegates selected for a five-year term (from February 2020) by the most representative organisations of Luxembourg’s social and cultural fabric.

The Assembly must be consulted during an investigation opened in response to a complaint or on the Authority’s own initiative in cases related to the protection of minors and incitement to hatred based on race, sex, opinion, religion or nationality, for both radio and television services and film screenings.

The Board of Directors may also decide to consult the Assembly in cases related to ALIA’s other areas of responsibility.

The Bureau meets as many times as needed to set the agenda for plenary meetings. It draws up draft opinions and position papers which are submitted for final decision to the members in plenary session.
